Custom Covers

These are covers that I created for schools. The yearbook adviser would reach out to the company with either a general description, a mockup, reference photos, or a quick sketch of what they were looking for. They would also mention any color or text specifications they wanted. I would work with the advisers and go through a few drafts until we got the finished design.

Cover Gallery

The cover gallery was one of the bigger projects I worked on durning my time at Studio Source. The idea behind it was that customers could scroll through the gallery, choose a cover they wanted, and request small design changes such as colors or fonts. I would then upload the image into the software they were using to build their yearbooks or email them the design if they were using their own. This was made to be a quick, easy, and free option for customers where they don’t have to pay per hour unlike if they went with the custom cover option.

Year In Review

Year in Review was another big project that I worked on durning my time at Studio Source. The 2023-2024 year was the first year the company designed their own YIR pages. I worked very closely with one of my co-workers who would write all the body copy, while I designed the pages. We also worked together to search and find the best editorial images we could for each story topic. I would also have many review meeting with multiple co-workers to receive feedback and discuss what else to do with the design. When the pages were finalized, they were uploaded to two of the yearbook softwares we offered where customers were then able to choose which pages they wanted to add to their book.
